KADIMA/USY HAPPENINGS

On Jan,30 2010 Beth El Synagogue's new Youth Group had its first Kadima and USY event of the year. The event went very well and was a success.

We started the night with snacks and coming up with a chapter name we then moved on to making pizza and sundaes. We, made a banner that you can see hanging in the hall downstairs above the stage.  We also worked on TWO projects

1. The challenge against other chapters in our Region for Tikun Olam which will go towards USY and Kadima. If you are interested in helping out, there is an explanation on the tables in the downstairs hall showing how it works.

2. The 2nd Project of the night was to make a barrel to collect soda tabs were Regional USY and Sisterhood Chapters are working together to donate towards the Ronald McDonald House Charities. If you have any questions, there is a sheet with instructions hanging above our barrels.

The children had a great time getting to know each other on a different level from Hebrew school. We, look forward to Purim and helping out with the shpiels and events.

Gilah Gersten, USY and Kadima Advisor
